Made during four weeks via Futuregames, Game Project 2.

" Shattered Veil is a first-person adventure game that brings you into the tenebrous heart of a corrupted forest, where nature itself abhors your very presence. Learn the secrets of those who once dwelled here while being stalked by savage creatures from the Otherworld, in your desperate quest to perform the ancient rituals to mend the Shattered Veil. "

Tasks I did during this project: 

  • Research around the Celtic culture for the team

  • Researching the games we had as inspiration

  • Made a smoke test sheet, test sheet, test plan

  • Prepared user-tasks, notes and a Google Form for playtest 

  • Held a playtest in Skellefteå

  • Voice acting

  • Assisting producer in Jira

What I learned during this project is that communication about vision and keep coming back to it is very important, to prevent other disciplines from working on low priority tasks. Implementing things too late like FMOD, UI, Voice lines and changing place holders too late are something the whole team could agree on was a cause of the game not coming together fully as the vision we had. But, we are still proud of what we managed to make during four weeks.
